A weekend to remember

The redcoats are coming, Princeton Battlefield. Princeton marks the long Memorial Day weekend by remembering the 1777 Battle of Princeton, from the Revolutionary War. These British troops were part of a historic reenactment.

That's cool, I love reenactments. Don't get many of them here despite the fact that we have thousands of years of battles...

I haven't seen a reenactment lately and I guess it's about time!

cieldequimper - you must be so rich with history, it's practically taken for granted! :) (Here, we'll take what we can get!)

EG CameraGirl - I think this was my first reenactment, oddly realistic and felt somewhat transported in time :)

LOLfromPasa - thanks so much! I few of the Brits in the crowd got a bit huffy when people cheered for redcoats who fell and "died." I suppose old rivalries still hold 200+ yrs later!

Adele - thanks so much - It felt surprisingly real and definitely gave me a few chills!
