Baby ginger

At one of our last outdoor farmers' markets (the ginger did not need peeling & was delicious brewed in chai tea). This week, the market moves indoors for the coldest season.

Looks like a natural treat, probably super healthy.

One of my very favourite things is ginger chicken soup! We are growing it on our balcony too..

I love ginger, according to a blog I've just read, Robert from Athens, ginger is a great remedy for.....'grumpiness' haha! Love it in tea..

I've never seen ginger like this - with a pinkish tint - guess I've always bought "adult" ginger :) Fantastic that you're a (healthy) tea drinker Lulu, wish I was (believe me I've tried it again & again, but coffee has an enormous pull on me)...

Have to say I am a lover of ginger too. Great collection you found. I have never seen it in the colors you show here...that must mean it is really fresh!!!!

Thanks everyone! Yes, it was super-fresh stuff and so many yummy uses (I need to keep it in mind for 'grumpiness' - thanks Grace!)

I keep meaning to plant a bit of ginger root. We have friends in Mauritius who grow all different kinds of gingers, and some of them have the most beautiful flowers. It's something, I suspect, that one can get obsessed with!

I also love the taste of ginger.
