Bird's breakfast

Woken on July 4th holiday by a screeching bird (red tailed hawk?) devouring its snake breakfast outside the window. Who needs fireworks after that? (Sorry, hope it's not too full on.)

I'll be taking a break for a few weeks because of (yet more) travels. Be well, see you soon!

Ohhh, WOW!!! Lulu, you took such fantastic pictures! It happens once in a life time.

A red tailed hawk is eating a snake? Unbelievable! Some the bird watches would die to see this.

INCREDIBLE AND SPECTACULAR PICTURES!!!!

I am sending my deep admiration for them!!!

Thanks so much, everyone! I think that early bird caught and quite enjoyed its early (big) "worm":)

Great pictures. Your timing was perfect. I liked the two with the bird pulling on the snake, but the third photo was my favorite.

Work sure gets in the way, doesn't it? Fortunately, these days I am a fulltime loafer.

One less snake for me to worry about.

We can sign you up to be a National Geographic photographer with shots like those. I LOVE the snake breakfast and the hawk's expression in the third photo.

Safe travels,
Genie

Cool, I think. I have never seen a hawk eat a snake. Is he screaming because he has a tummy ache? :)
