Postcard from London: Cutty Sark in Greenwich

The 1869 Cutty Sark was one of the last sailing ships ever built, before steam power.

Also, a big thank you to Petrea Burchard at Living Vicuriously, as I - who have never won anything - just won her book, Camelot & Vine, in a giveaway...excited about a new read!

And continued apologies to those with Wordpress blogs, as I'm still having trouble leaving comments.

Wow, what a shot! I'm wrapping my mind around how that structure works.

I'm glad you won! My husband is good at pulling names out of hats. I hope you enjoy the book!

Uh, of course the first thing that came to my mind was the whisky. I should read more transportation history or something.

Gotta love the structure they built around it. Can you tour inside, though?

In my day, the Cutty Sark wasn't wearing a glass skirt...

Great and unusual perspective!

Lucky you! Sounds a good read. Love the Cutty Sark - days of the tea clippers and good old New South Wales sending all our wool to England. As for your comment on our election, well noticed, Rudd is desperate to make up some ground on Abbott who is about to win in a landslide.
