Postcard from Paris: Looking down

Yes indeed, I was in Paris! (It was a "working vacation.") This was the floor inside the Panthéon - where Voltaire, Rousseau and others rest - and petals on the street outside, near a marriage office.

How wonderful - getting paid to go to Paris. I should be so lucky :)
I hope you got to play tourist to - almost - your heart's content while there.

I seriously think you need a 'swivel' neck when in Paris, up, around and down..there's just so much you can miss. I bet you had a wonderful time in between work commitments Lulu..as I said before, green with envy :))

I was correct when I read you previous post and tried to figure out where you were, Lulu. You went to Paris. Ohh, Wow... No more words. I am very happy for you!!!

These are fantastic pictures!!! It's my dream to take pictures like these one day but... I live in the country and I can only dream.

Best wishes from Kaya.

Great idea looking down. Did a house swap once for an apartment in the fifth. Just off Rue Mouffetard. We even had a maid.

Gorgeous shots. I love to photograph the ground.

As you know, I was busy showing Paris to a friend this weekend. we arrived at the Panthéon at 5:50 pm yesterday: too late :-( and I've never been inside even though I lived a mere 200 metres away from it for three years as a student!

It's always worth looking down, and up, when seeking a subject to photograph... as your pictures prove!

Love these details Lulu, especially the second one - so so pretty! Seems I need to visit the interior of the Pantheon... again welcome back! :) though I'm thinking you'd rather be in Paris?

Working in Paris-how cool! I love the first photo, but I think those petals are so sweet, especially being in front of the marriage office.

Now that is my kind of 'working vacation'. Fringe benefits galore with so much to see. Wonderful shots, Lulu.

What a great place to :have" to work for a few days. :)

Very nice, Lulu. I often find myself photographing the floors, too, sometimes with human legs in or near the area I am photographing. I thought it was a disease! Glad to see I have company.
