Here's looking at you kid

I have been keeping an eye out for the ones here but they seem to be making themselves scarce!

What splendid little chaps!
I can do the fattening up OK but not the hibernating.

Lol @ John, yes, the fattening is easy!

This is sooooo sweet!

Funny little creatures. I guess the closest animal we have to these is a wombat.

Let's see. Just how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Never seen one of these creatures before, are they similar to our moles?

Oh, a groundhog! How cute!

We have one hanging around the overpass near our place. We call him Waldo.

Oh, yes he is looking and he is very curious. I have never met this animal but he looks so lovely.

What a cute chunky little creature (though it looks like he's growling in the top shot ;)... I love how you always capture the goings on in the wild!

What a fattie!

Thanks everyone! Mo - groundhogs burrow like moles, but are much larger (William's size-of-cat analogy is perfect). Revrunner - a woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could if a woodchuck could chuck wood:)

It doesn't surprise me that Princeton has the cutest woodchucks ever!

This little chap has taken offence to the chubby references and turned his back on us :))

You sure have gotten a lot closer to a groundhog than I ever have!
