Postcards from England: Friday fun

Loved this Moor Hall Primary School sign: "Don't choke us. Fumes are monsters!! Turn off your engine when you are parked." Below, more fun sights to round out the English break. Enjoy your weekend!

X-mas pudding BIN bags???

I couldn't agree more with that sign and if it's like our local school it's the parents picking up their children who are the worst offenders. They frequently park illegally too making crossing the road dangerous for the little ones. Having got that off my chest I can also say that I've survived many Christmasses and never felt the need for a Christmas pudding bin bag - whatever that is!

When I drove buses three minutes idling was the limit. Of course it that did not apply in deep freeze conditions like the ones we are going through now Brrrrrrr.

Christmas pudding bin bags??? Is that to discard the excess of holiday treats?
When I was in London in November, someone asked if I wanted to watch the season ending Downton Abbey. I declined because the season hadn't even started at home yet. Love that show!

Hello Lulu, I am a first time visitor jumping over from Ottawa Daily Photo and must confess I thought you lived in London. It was a nice surprise to find you are in Princeton, NJ, a small town we really enjoyed when we lived in our native NJ. But, it is way larger then this truly small town we live in now...pop 500 and shrinking it seems. Enjoyed looking at past posts and seeing the photos from your travels, work or otherwise.

Can never get enough Downton Abbey :) Has the new season started in the UK already Lulu? I'll have to keep my eyes open for it here. I wonder how long it will be before we're all driving electric cars!

Christmas Pudding Bin Bags made me laugh out loud!

That sign on top would be very appropriate here as well. I really dislike all the people who let their car engines idling.
Well, and Downton - so glad it's back!

Christmas pudding bin bags? There is a first time for everything.

You don't think that a guy who is sufficiently protective of his anonymity that he shows only the top half of his face is going to give a tour of his house, do you? You go first.

Thanks everyone! Xmas pudding bin bags were a first for me too (Sharon, I guess it was a super-decorative trash bag:) - it would've been perfect gift for the person who has everything...
