"I think of Princeton as being lazy and good-looking and aristocratic—you know, like a spring day."
-F. Scott Fitzgerald, This Side of Paradise

I like the quote but I would have thought that graduating from Princeton isn't a piece of cake! :-)
Idyllic scene and good luck to students everywhere!
nice way to spend an afternoon!
Looks like a scene from a film. Lovely.
cieldequimper - I always wondered why Fitzgerald thought a Princeton education might entail being "lazy"!
Chrissy - thanks so much! So glad I'm not a student anymore :)
Tanya - thank you and thanks so much for dropping by!
LOLfromPasa - aw, thanks so much! :)
Since I (still) haven't read the book, I can't be sure, but is he saying Princeton students, or Princeton itself? Or both?? (Although, I can't think of ANYTHING about Princeton that would involve laziness!) Either way, I love this photo, and wish there were some Ivy Covered Walls in my past. Thanks for taking us there for a bit!
Looks idyllic but I think university life is/was hectic. :)
Adele - Thank you! I wondered too, he might very well have meant both, but honestly, there is no way a Princeton student could be lazy in this day & age! :)
EG CameraGirl - I couldn't agree more! So glad I'm not a student!
