cieldequimper -- it must've been full of frogs once! There was a skirmish here during the Revolutionary war, the British took cover and made a brief stand here though their captain was killed. They then fled uphill towards what is now the University's Nassau Hall & eventually surrendered. It's so peaceful now, it's hard to imagine!
