Summer so far: semi-nomad

Leaving Princeton
Returning to Princeton
To acknowledge yesterday's milestone U.S. Supreme Court decision and my semi-nomad work travels (alas, not as fun as vacation travel!), here's a 2-for-1 glimpse: Princeton (briefly) + Washington, DC (burning at 108°F/42°C), on a recent work trip...
DC bikeshare
DC firemen care: 13th and L St. firehouse
(All iPhone shots - cameras are unwelcome in work settings, but not iPhones!)

Well they are all pretty cool shots, (or should I say warm ones?!)I really like the 2 Princeton shots. The bikeshare is such an excellent idea, they are called Vélib' in Paris (for vélo liberté or bike freedom). As for the cooling station, I'd probably be a furry friend in that temperature!

108 - yikes!! Didn't see the bikes when I was there last summer. Are they new, or was I too busy "enjoying" the heat wave to notice?

Cieldequimper - thanks so much! I love that Paris had a bike share program for so long now, and love the info about it's name - thank you!

Adele - true, it's always so uncomfortably hot during DC summers! And not just from politicians :)

Thats pretty warm, I prefer the cooler climes where you can always wrap up!. Bike share is a great idea though I have only ever seen it in Paris.

Paul - thank you! I too would rather have the option to wrap up (can't peel off more skin in warm weather!) I was pleasantly surprised, actually, to find bike sharing in DC.
