Something different

Sorry for the night shots! Returned to our theatre Tuesday for something different: the funny, singing, strumming Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Where else can you hear Handel, The Clash and Lady Gaga in one concert?:) They play prestigious Carnegie Hall tonight.

Here, their rendition of Ennio Morricone's classic Western movie score, "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"...

This is the best. Enjoyed the video. My brother and sister-in-law live in china, and have been teaching themselves the ukulele. I will share this with them. Loved the photos too. Your theater is full of surprises!

So entertaining Lulu, loooooooved the sound effects and how hard it was for them to keep a straight face at times, excellent fun!

Adele - thanks! Glad you enjoyed the (surreal) video. That's so cool your brother and sister-in-law are teaching themselves the ukulele (and over on the far side of the world, no less)! What a fun, I've still got my childhood ukulele tucked away somewhere:)

cieldequimper - heheh, the English know how to elevate 'eccentricity' to the highest levels!!

a.s.m. - thank you! This theatre does offer very different events, though this one may have been the most different!:)

Tanya - it was probably a playlist I'll never hear again!:)

Paul - I never thought I'd ever see them live, but they were passing through Princeton, so hard to resist:)

Perth - haha, glad you enjoyed the video clip! They're great musical stylists, but wonderfully irreverent on stage too:)

Dinner can wait, and so it did. I watched the video all the way through. Brilliant. I have not heard to this group but I certainly will keep and eye out for them. Thanks for sharing. Better go, I can smell something burning :).

I'm peeved. There is a problem with the sound on my computer so I can't play your clip. Or at least I can play it but not hear it!
I'll come back when the sound is fixed. I like ukeleles.

LOLfromPasa - lol, I hope this GB group was worth delaying dinner for!:) I only knew about them from a random Jools Holland New Year's show - somehow it's fitting there's a ukulele orchestra from GB:)

William - they really are completely different!:)

Jenny - oh no, hopefully the sound works for you eventually! (Hm, I'll see if I can find the link or something). They've actually got great musicianship, all irreverence aside:)
