Australia National Theme Day

{Nassau Hall, Princeton University}
I was convinced I'd have nothing to show for my efforts to take an Australian-themed photo. As I was about to give up, I stumbled on this Instagram shot in my archives. The international diversity of Princeton University's student body is on display in this festive "P" for Princeton. Anchoring the lower right, I spied Australia, whose student contingent is represented by about 30 brilliant Ivy League Princeton-Australian students, or Tigers (school mascot, as you see!).

See more photos here, celebrating Australia Day!

{P.S. I will be traveling and away from the internet a few days, but will see you soon!}

I shudder to think of the shenanigans those student Aussies would have got up to ... ironic that part of the OZ day discussions downunder was about changing the flag!

This is so cool! I was not able to find anything so I am insanely jealous. :)

Great find, Lulu! Since I have been to Oz because family live there, I knew I had photos. Bit of a panic when I couldn't find them :). Have a good break!

Well discovered, Lulu. My files are a mess and totally under-documented.

I am saddened to realise just how few of these national flags I can name. How embarrassing!

Thank you for your contribution to the portal's first National Day. As a non-Australian I really appreciate the effort you have gone to.

Great job, Lulu! I thought of asking my Australian neighbor to pose, but she's always so busy...

Awesome theme day shot.

Fantastic that you found something. I am sure I will do nowhere near as well on the other international theme days.

Cool! I couldn't find anything at all, even from my archives.

Exposure to different cultures and nationalities is always good for students, I think. Lucky kids.
