Eventually, we got only 7 inches (~18cm) of snow, but our northeast neighbors were harder hit. Below, to give more "flavor" of the storm, phone shots of Boston via my sister, who
walked to work in the storm, amid a no-transportation ban and 25 inches of snow. My hat's off to her, a doctor on a hospital shift, and all who brave storms to keep us safe!

I saw many similar pictures from the tv and Bostonian friends. Thank goodness for people like your sister who puts themselves in harms way to help others.

I still don't understand the transportation ban. A better approach would be: if you drive in this blizzard and get stranded we're not coming to get you. Glad your sister made it to work safe and sound -- what a trouper!

What an enoermous amount of snow! I have never seen so much of it. Your sister is very brave ! I am deeply impressed.
I've seen snowfalls like that. It's a lot of work walking through them!
