During the storm

Eventually, we got only 7 inches (~18cm) of snow, but our northeast neighbors were harder hit. Below, to give more "flavor" of the storm, phone shots of Boston via my sister, who walked to work in the storm, amid a no-transportation ban and 25 inches of snow. My hat's off to her, a doctor on a hospital shift, and all who brave storms to keep us safe!

I saw many similar pictures from the tv and Bostonian friends. Thank goodness for people like your sister who puts themselves in harms way to help others.

Bravo, or rather brava.

I must be nuts but I'd love to walk in a snowstorm.

Dramatic pictures, fantastic stuff! All three are wonderful, but I particularly like the middle one. Would make a great Christmas card!

Beautiful shots, Lulu! I wouldn't want to be there, but they are beautiful!

I still don't understand the transportation ban. A better approach would be: if you drive in this blizzard and get stranded we're not coming to get you. Glad your sister made it to work safe and sound -- what a trouper!

Your sister is one of the unsung heroes. She is lucky to live close enough to walk, and her patients are even luckier!
