What you really have to fear comes from the rear end of the birds. I recall a moment like this a few years ago and when returning to the car it was totally covered in bird excrement. Took me a good couple of hours to clean it off.
This is a gorgeous image Lulu, apart from capturing the flock of birds so well, he light is just gorgeous. Was that a 'villain' I saw lurking behind the tree in the foreground...oh no it's just a shadow phew!!
Thanks so much! (Peter - both of them were great in The Birds, llandudnopictures - safe and sound and peck free, lol! Andy - amazing how Hitchcock gets into our psyche:) Mo - agh, not fun! PerthDailyPhoto - phew, gave me the chills for a moment:) LOLfromPasa - so true, sometimes the 'surprises' turn out to be ok after all:)

A truly magical photo. Tippi and Aussie Rod Taylor were great in The Birds.
And the best came out!
You were blessed & are passing it on! Very cool.
Aloha
Hitchcock'ish indeed, hope you made it home peck free?! Great shot!
It's amazing that after all these years that Hitchcock is still in our subconscious.
PS: I like the new look of your blog.

Amazing! Interesting light, too, to accompany the birds. Kind of a vintage day...

Nice capture. I've have had more than my fair share of Hitchcock moments when out shooting.
I'm impressed.I've often tried to photograph flocks of birds but it is a whole lot harder than it looks. this is really good.
