New Zealand National Theme Day | D for Dancers

Happy Waitangi Day - for CDP's Theme Day in NZ and ABC Wednesday. This post has more of a personal than a Princeton connection to NZ, but it was all I could think of besides a local movie sign for The Hobbit! At any rate, while I now live far away, I grew up in Hawaii, which shares a strong bond with other Polynesian cultures. These Māori dancers, shot on an Autumn trip, are students in Hawaii hailing from Aotearoa. Polynesian dances often enhanced oral storytelling. (Oh, the poi the women are using? Tricky! Ballet lessons were easier:)
