Postcard from Washington, DC: Capital view

{View of Washington Monument and U.S. Capitol, from the Lincoln Memorial
I was in Washington, DC for work not long ago and had a free hour (yay!), so relished the freedom to roam. I thought I'd share some DC shots in coming days.

All those sweeping lines, glorious light & shadows and gorgeous colours make this one a work of art!

I should be so lucky to take a pic like this!

Gorgeous winter light and I love the ice. I roamed around there in sweltering heat...

Luz calida, buena perspectiva, buena calidad de imagen, una cuidada composición que en mi opinión me parece una estupenda foto.
Un saludo, Ángel

The lighting here is perfection. My son lives in Annapolis, so we go to DC often when we visit. I have thousands of pictures, but none as grand as this one. Well done. :)

I know this spot well. Really nice capture, Lulu. Not an easy angle with the sun and shadows. I look forward to seeing more. (It's nice to know I'm not the only one who roams around during a free hour at work looking for photo opps.)
