Small World cafe (in fun "Lomo effect") roasts its own coffee, hosts art shows and serves addictive chocolate chip cookies.

Anywhere that roasts its own coffee and serves cakes is my kind of place.
Rationing finally only came to an end the year before I was born. I well recall a tin of dried egg in the pantry when I was a boy, I think mother could not fave it once the ration ended, also by then we kept a few chickens.
OMG those raisin nut rolls look divine Lulu, and freshly roasted coffee..you realize it's almost midnight in Perth..what are you doing to me haha! p.s. yup I spotted that pesky wee monster.
Ah, there's Big G. Hiding from Roland Emmerich, who wants to make a sequel.
Those treats in the first pic look to die for...
Fresh roasted coffee and good cake are a magic combo (I admit, I envy you your National Trust cakes!) I recall a program about British food in WWII and how some children reportedly got so used to dried eggs they preferred them over the real deal - seems that was, luckily, not the case for you/your family!
PerthDailyPhoto - no more midnight food shots, I promise! ;-) We've blamed our post-UK move weight gain on this place, too many temptations (Godzilla notwithstanding:)
William - must make sure to keep Godzilla hidden from that sequel, haha! Those rolls are pretty good - my real weakness is those choc chip cookies!:)
As I am 'enjoying my cuppa' soon to be followed by a glass on wine :), but I feel a tad hungry. Maybe I'll skip the wine and have another cuppa and a cake, please! Super shots in a very nice website!!!!!!!!! (Maybe 'skip' should be replaced with 'delay':)). (Thanks for your comments re background. I think you have got it right. The focus is on your photos.)
Mmmm, glass of wine on a lovely Friday, perfect end of week repast:) I'd happily take cake anytime too. (Thanks for the site design encouragement - one of these days I'll get around to a 'makeover':))
I'm so glad I have never had my tea (or coffee) rationed. I love the Lomo effect.
Do they have them without raisins?
Ha! I just checked in to see you still have this up and now I am very, very hungry! You are such a tease. :))
Ha, with the smell of freshly roasted coffee and all those delicious goodies in the counter, you expect someone to look up and notice godzilla?!
Raisin nut roll! Hum...YUMMY!
They look great! My mouth is watering!
And one cup of coffee, please;o)

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend****
Yum!! I also like the lomo effect. Will have to try it out. After I have a baked good of some sort (with raisins!).
EG - lol, I promise, no more midnight photos from here on out (unless I get a midnight snack craving:)) Thank goodness no rationing of tea or coffee these days.
Randy - I think they do! I've seen some non-fruit versions.
Hamilton - haha, true true, poor Godzilla...ignored in favor of fresh-roasted coffee and treats!
Mildred - I find it hard to resist places like this myself:)
Adele - I use Picasa and suddenly realized there was a bunch of funky effects hiding behind a tab. Have fun experimenting!:)
I like your Lomo effect on the top photo of those swell looking baked goods. The second image did not load, so I can't see it.
Thanks for visiting Portland Oregon Daily Photo.
Lovely effects- now I'm off for a cup of tea...
