Seen on many cars here. Our Congressional representative, Rush Holt, a physicist, is retiring after eight long terms in Congress. He was an unusual Congressman - advocating for and securing funds to support scientific research and education, social equity, environmental conservation and suicide prevention in the military.

A congressman with a science background who advocates for education and environmental conservation?
We need more of that.
How wonderful that the people he represented so long and so well show gratitude for his excellent service! More scientists into politics!
It always amazes me that people wear their political opinions on their lawns and bumpers in your part of the world. Here we mostly keep them to ourselves and only dicuss them over dinner, if at all.
Sounds like he was one of the intelligent ones.
Pocos son los políticos que aboguen por la educación, el bienestar social…
Esos pocos son para conservarlos.
Ángel
Sounds like Rush Holt zeroed in on the right issues.
Hopefully he has a long and happy retirement!
He looks like he might have been 'a good one ' :) Lulu, but I guess at 65 he deserves a quiet life oui!
ha, love it! i wonder if he has ever gotten the chance to reply "uh well yes, actually i am a rocket scientist" :D
A physicist? As long as it's not Sheldon Cooper....
So many good, intelligent politicians are retiring these days. If I had to work with some of the crazies in Washington, I'd probably be retiring too.
What a fun sticker!
The US could really use more like Congressman Holt, a politician with a good head and a big heart... hopefully he's influenced others who are staying!
Good on him!
Sounds like he will be missed!
I would love to retire. Nice sticker.
I have so little regard for most politicians today that I would be content just to learn that he keeps his hands in his own pockets.
Well done Rush, 8 terms! It is good to have a person like that represent you.
How neat is that???
Love this!
He sounds remarkable! Too bad he's retiring.
He sounds like a great guy!
Here in Pasadena we have NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, so there's a rocket scientist on every block. I don't think they've run for Congress, though.
