...and polyglot collection, Princeton Public Library. Where to go to really lose yourself in the world of books.

Now this is fantastic, a library with a reading patio. Sorry I don't like Amélie Nothomb but Besson is okay... :-)

A reading patio sure is a great idea!

Adele - thank you! It's actually a fun place to visit, oddly - feels like a community center, not just a library!

cieldequimper - thanks so much! That's so funny, of course you'd recognize the French books! Now I'm curious to check out who the authors are...:)

Steffe - the reading patio gets especially popular in summers, not surprisingly! Thanks so much for dropping by!

Wonderfully welcoming! Those red umbrellas make me feel happy. :)

What a beautiful welcoming library! I just love the simple covers of French novels (like this Besson one—with the photo from Paul Strand). Very nice shots, thank you for the peek inside :)

Only know one of these writers and that is Besson because of the film Son frère which I saw at the cinema. I love the public library and am a member of more different ones than I guess most people. I also belong to a private subscription library here in Leeds.

Just had a moment of doubt and checked: Nothomb is Belgian, not French. She's probably like Hercule Poirot, always telling people no, I'm Belgian... :-)

EG CameraGirl - thank you! I love the red brollies too, it's esp. nice on days when there's a summer breeze :)

Catherine - thank you! I love that cover too (and love Paul Strand's work! :)

Paul - I love public libraries too. We've only got this one (the rest belong to universities), but luckily it's a terrific one.

cieldequimper - that is too funny! Thank you! I suppose if I were Belgian, I'd tend towards setting the record straight too. It's been too long since I saw or read a Hercule Poirot adventure :)
