Summer camp

Rehearsing Mozart's Requiem, Music Camp, Princeton University Chapel. No tents or campfires here! Each summer, kids (aged 12-18) descend on campus for arts, sports and other camps.

These campers sounded pretty great (a Requiem clip - apologies for my handheld pocket camera!)...

Oh thank you. That was a lovely breakfast moment. I could spend all day listening to it rather than driving to work in traffic jams and... grey, menacing, cold skies...

Lovely scene. The clips sounds great to me. I remember doing something similar at this age but it was Handel's Messiah and Oxford where I lived.

I like the frame you have given to this picture.

Beautifully framed image Lulu, the acoustics in a high vaulted area like this are magnificent. You did a great job with your hand held camera!

cieldequimper - aw, thanks! I too prefer listening to music anyday over (ugh) driving and commutes.

Paul - how lovely you got to sing the Messiah at that age, I'm sure the settings in Oxford were beautiful.

Mo - thank you!

Valladolid - thanks very much!

PerthDailyPhoto - thank you! Acoustics in these settings are lovely, aren't they? Perhaps I'll get better gear one day :)

Thank you for the clip, ... it's so beautiful and soothing. And after this very tiring day, it's salve for the soul :)

(I'll add that my son just came back from sports camp - sweaty and bug-bitten,... boy would I love to put him in a Requiem music camp one day!!)

EG CameraGirl - thanks & I agree, those lucky kids!

Catherine - thank you! It's sweet of you to stop by & listen despite a tiring day. (A music camp for your own son sounds brilliant! :)
