The little movie house

Princeton's movie house opened in 1920 with a silent movie and live orchestra. It feels intimate, despite renovations. Oh, the movies and people that passed through - laughing, crying, with friends or dates - since the dawn of cinema.  (P.S. I very much enjoyed funny, bittersweet Moonrise Kingdom).

Oh, I love this! What a beautiful theater. Have to see Moonrise Kingdom - I hear nothing but good, so far.

Oh this is a fantastic cinema. Long may it live!

I haven't seen Moonrise Kingdom (yet). As for To Rome with Love, I believe it isn't Woody's best ever...

I always prefer the smaller 'alternative' theatres, you have a little gem here. just checked out the trailer for Moonrise Kingdom, I'm going to have to get it out on DVD, looks like a fun story and anything Bill Murray is in is usually pretty good, thanks for the tip Lulu.

Ohh these little theatres are the best! ... Feels like you're in a big living room :) Love the facade of this one. So sad that many of the ones in DC closed.

Adele - Something so special about these smaller theatres! The movie was fun, I didn't have any expectations, but enjoyed myself!

cieldequimper - I've heard it's not Woody's best either, may need to be a DVD viewing!

PerthDailyPhoto - yes, it's like the anti-multiplex, isn't it? The movie was fun to see, I didn't know much going into it and enjoyed it!

LOLfromPasa - the coffee is an adored locally-roasted one, good enough reason to go to the cinema! :)

Catherine - so true, it's almost like watching a play! It's sad how the independent little cinemas have closed in DC. They're a rare breed.
Tanya - that's so cool - yes, it's much, much better than those big multiplexes!
