Where childhood reigns

"Times past, way off in China, in the city of all cities,
there was a good-for-nothing fellow called Aladdin."
Cotsen Children's Library. Children and adults alike enjoy this space, stocked with rare children's literature (medieval manuscripts, early Brothers Grimm editions, Beatrix Potter writings). The books are too rare to circulate, but can be consulted in a special reading room.

I love spaces that encourage children to imagine happy, fantastic thoughts.

Interesting and also a fun place. Personally I would love to see the Lear drawings. By chance I recently got a look at a little of the works in The Leeds University special collection.

Adele - it's certainly fun for adults, and the kids have such a blast!

EG CameraGirl - I love that too, wouldn't mind being a kid again to experience this place anew :)

LOLfromPasa - so true, even their website is welcoming. I've seen so many ages come by to just hang out there :)

Paul - the Lear works would be good to see! I've not yet made a request to view anything, but hope to soon enough. That's great the Leeds University and its special holdings are right there.

What a wonderful place Lulu, I can just imagine how much fun it would be for youngsters to read exciting stories in such exciting surroundings.
