Returning to DC, scenes at the Lincoln Memorial. Overheard (one teenage boy, in awe, to another): "Oh man, this is where Martin Luther King said I Have a Dream!"
Nice to see teens in awe over social history.

And you caught a plane... Love the comment, I wish more teenagers were like that...
Looks like the Roman forum, except for the jet, nice light.
cool what you overheard....i think we'll head up to dc in the summer and spend a couple of days...haven't been in a while!
Very regal looking!
Really nice captures Lulu.... the Lincoln Memorial is one of my favorite sites in DC! It's so wonderful to overhear such enthusiasm in a teen, thank you for sharing that. Great way to start the week :)
How nice. Beautiful photo and wonderful "overhear." Happy Monday to you!
Bonita fotografía del Lincoln Memorial.
Que bueno que los jóvenes recuerden hechos importantes de la historia.
Un saludo, Ángel
My favorite monument -- absolutely wonderful. Whenever I'm there, I enjoy sitting on the steps people watching -- and watching the air traffic.
Historic indeed, love the plane flying by too!
Yes, both are wonderful, good photos!
Wonderful, Lulu! The jet (just by chance) passing by in the top photo is a lovely addition. Well planned :).
I have just had a lovely browse around your blog... many thanks for sharing it.
Smart kid!
Thanks so much! Yes, that kid's comment was heartening:)
I would love to visit this city one day. Wonderful shots.

I'll have to see the city for myself someday.
Nice! I grew up near DC... great city! And it's always good to see Abe Lincoln.
