Postcard from Washington, DC: Memorial scenes

Returning to DC, scenes at the Lincoln Memorial. Overheard (one teenage boy, in awe, to another): "Oh man, this is where Martin Luther King said I Have a Dream!"

Nice to see teens in awe over social history.

And you caught a plane... Love the comment, I wish more teenagers were like that...

My favorite monument -- absolutely wonderful. Whenever I'm there, I enjoy sitting on the steps people watching -- and watching the air traffic.

Wonderful, Lulu! The jet (just by chance) passing by in the top photo is a lovely addition. Well planned :).
