I've never been to a block party but always think that they sound like a great opportunity for people in the neighborhood to catch up. You caught a great 'vibe' here Lulu.
Ok, Lulu, educate me. Is a block party like our street parties? You are showing what looks a really big event. Love the comment about the hair along side 'that' photo. Lovely. Bet you had a great night.
cieldequimper - haha, it was hard not to dance, so yes, my feet gave in! :) Though I foolishly stuffed myself full of fresh-made-in-the-wood-burning-oven pizza before I saw the paella, sigh...next time... (I agree, I want that hair too! :)
alp - muchisimas gracias, and thank you for dropping by!
Adele - thanks so much, can you believe summer is ending? Where do the days go :)
PerthDailyPhoto - thank you! I'm trying to hold onto that summery 'vibe' :) Though at least when the cold Princeton winter days arrive, I know I'll have glimpses of your Perth summers to look forward too!
LOLfromPasa - thanks so much! It was the last of the summer parties :) (I left a comment on your blog, but I think the block party is definitely analogous to your street party, though our event was more major than most block parties tend to be (lots of businesses wanted to get involved, not just a few locals and the corner shop). Technically, though, it all still stayed within the block :)
EG CameraGirl - thanks so much! It was a nice summer diversion for sure :)
Thanks, Lulu. I am educated :). PS. Every time I have clicked on your blog recently I have seen those delicious peaches. I really like that photograph!!!!!
Dianne - I love paella, it's a practically perfect dish, isn't it? :)
Mildred - thank you, and thank you very much for dropping by!
LOLfromPasa - I love that I now have another thing to add to my mental notepad of US/UK terms that differ - I'd not quite realized how American 'block party' was :) (Thank you re: the peaches! They were tasty, I wonder if we're also having a good peach year :)
Jenny - the food included a most delicious fresh-made margherita pizza (the pizza truck came with a wood-burning oven) and an enormous mound of paella...I foolishly stuffed myself too full of pizza prior to seeing the paella :)

Did you taste the paella? Did you dance? Oh gosh I'm nosy today!
Looks like it was great fun!
Magnificas imagenes. Un beso desde Murcia.
I'm afraid I'm a bit behind on my commenting. Am really enjoying your photos of summer fun. What a great evening for a block party!
