Ah les pêches plates... The French ones haven't ripened yet, we're on Spanish ones. :-)Have you ever tasted vine peaches (the ones that grow more or less spontaneously in vineyards?)
cieldequimper - oh, fresh-picked peaches sound heavenly! I haven't had the pleasure, but I've no excuse because we've some peach orchards just a few miles away :)
EG CameraGirl - if only we could do that in this day and age (someone should've thought of it by now! :)
PerthDailyPhoto - summery fruit is the best :) May your summer rush upon you very very soon!
Catherine - yes, savor more while summer's still here! :) Thank you so much for thinking of me (left a comment on your blog too) - I am going to check it out for sure!
Mo - I think it's been a good peach year too, they were yummy :)
LOLfromPasa - thank you- and if only that technology were already here! The shape of these peaches makes me think of red blood cells, oddly...but they taste great :)
I've never heard of Doughnut Peaches before but they look gorgeous ... I love Farmers Markets with their abumdance of fresh produce but usually buy way more than I need. Hoping you have a wonderful week-end.
I'll have to give those peaches another try. I bought some once and they did not taste good but they are so pretty and always look so delicious. Maybe I just got a bad batch....
Jenny - oh no! We're having what seems to be a good peach year, though I have also had bad peaches before at the grocery store and know what you mean. Hope you find some super-fresh and sweet ones!

Dianne - thank you! I also end up buying way more than I can eat, it's so hard not to at the farmers market! :)
Adele - thanks! They are really tasty, hope you find some out in California :)
