Giant paddling pool

Summer evening at Scudder PlazaWoodrow Wilson School. That orange sign prohibits wading, in vain.  The architect behind this scene also designed New York's former World Trade Center. Taken last week, this photo shows the plaza before new outdoor sculptures arrived (I'll show those soon).

Nice colonnade and strange fountain!

Is there a pattern emerging, Lulu? Two pools with two very unusual art pieces. Look forward to seeing the follow-up of the plaza. Stay cool (but no wading :).

Ha! Wading is where it's at in the heat we've been enduring. :))

cieldequimper - thanks! It's an odd fountain, looks odder without the water :)

LOLfromPasa - haha, so true, I must've have subconsciously been trying to stay cool!

EG CameraGirl - the heat has been terrible! I would've gladly joined those waders :)

Looks like that little sign couldn't keep them out! I read once that Yamasaki was afraid of heights. Do you know if that's true? I'll have to read through your link more thoroughly...

When it's hot and there's water about it seems very unfair and almost impossible to stop people having a bit of a splash about hey Lulu..
