Nassau Hall, Princeton University. Stealing the bell clapper was a student tradition from the 1860s to 1990s, when (fed up) officials removed the clapper.
Lulu, this is a very impressive photograph! Everybody calls ti the bell tower and I didn't know it. It is reaching the sky so proudly and architecture is fantastic.
And I love this bare tree, it's so nicely framed your picture!
One of the things I noticed about this picture is the beautiful light. Was it taken in the evening or early morning? that peachy tone looks quite striking against the pale blue sky.
Looks lovely with the sunlight hitting it just right. Seems like it's usually the school rival's sports team stealing something and not the other way around.

Bye Bye clapper! Still, at least the bell tower looks just as grand as ever!
10 out of 10 !!!! Beautiful shot, Lulu.
Beautifully shown here Lulu, I see the age old issue applies, no two clocks ever tell the same time :)
What a pretty bell tower! I love the back story... too bad for the students I guess (but probably best for the freshman :)
btw, very nice work on your redesign!
Nice light on the tower.
Beautiful and well composed! By the way, I love the new header.
Ah they took all the fun away. Beautiful tower. MB
Very attractive! Very smart of the officials to remove the clapper. :)
It took them a long to get fed up!
So is the bell tower automated now, or just silent?
Thanks everyone! PerthDailyPhoto - LOL!:) hamilton - sadly silent now, alas!
