The Institute Pond

I like imagining luminaries like Einstein and Gödel strolling here, once upon a time. Have a peaceful weekend.

Flowering tree and tribute to a young woman:
"Amy Brockob 1970-1993 / Who loved this place / Missed by her friends"

Wow, what a lovely and tranquil place! I can see why Amy also loved this place. So sad to die at such a young age.

Simply beautiful vista, and a lump in my throat when I read that memorial plaque.

Such a lovely lake... I find it so fascinating you walk the same grounds as Einstein and so many historic figures once did. Have a wonderful weekend Lulu :)

Wonderful reflections Lulu. How sad, Amy was far too young, it happens too often..but so lovely that she is being remembered every day in such beautiful surroundings.

From what I've read about Einstein, he probably would have gotten lost there....

Buena foto en una hora de luz muy bonita, un lugar maravilloso y mas si pensamos que pasearon y dialogaron personajes tan importantes.
Un saludo, Ángel

We are indeed, Lulu! I just saw your comment and you are my first stop tonight :). As ever I love the photos and the sentiment. Lovely. (PS. We continue to get reports here about Boston...always think of your Sister. You have a good weekend too.)

What a beautiful place for great minds like Einstien and Godel to take a stroll and ponder a little.

Beautiful afternoon light here!

Can just regular folks stroll around here, too? It reminds me of the reservoir areas in West Hartford. Lovely.

Birdman - I hyperlinked to Amy and her backstory. She died of heart failure, sadly.

Jack - Yes, completely free and open to the public! Places like this are such balm for any town.
