For hazelnut-cocoa addicts

At our little Italian grocers, I spied (gasped at) the largest jar of Nutella ever (7 pounds/3kg at $75/£50/€58). A sliver of the "normal" size jar is barely visible on the right.

P.S. In headlines: a $20,000 Nutella heist in Germany and a "Nutella-gate" scandal at Columbia University.

I don't know what they put in there to make it so addictive! I don't think I've ever seen such a big jar!

I'll eat Nutella on anything. Loved the links especially nutella-gate. I think you misunderstood my blog post, I was not walking my dog, but is a statue of the poet Henry Lawson and his dogs.

I remember seeing Nutella on the shelves when I was in Germany last, but I never tried it. Have you tasted it?

Ici aussi j'ai trouvé où acheter de grandes jarres de Nutella. Dans un magasin de gros, ouvert au public, ce qui n'était pas le cas, il y a quelques années.

My sons head would pop if he saw this!!

It's his favourite spread - but he is only allowed a small amount!

Oh my! I've never seen a jar that big (even in France!)... though something tells me my boys would still finish it up in a heartbeat! ... just like the folks in the scandals :)

I'm the odd man out here... I have never tried the stuff. My local pizza store will deliver a pizza covered in Nutella.

Thanks for all your (hilarious) comments! Revrunner - I've not eaten directly out of a jar that big, but have had Nutella occasionally, good on crepes and toast!:)

I have seen a jar that big, in an Italian shop like you mention.

The stuff is so very, very, very scrumptious. That's not an adequate way to describe it. Kind of like calling Lake Superior a pond.

Never tried it.

SEVEN pounds!? Sounds like some nut lovers just can't get enough. The price is a bit hefty too.

Are you kidding Lulu, that's quite a common sight around my house..only two days ago I bought the smaller jar and sat and spoon chomped the whole jar while writing my blog :) but boy did I have a major headache the next morning! It has too stop haha!
